This year the Holy Spirit is calling us to serve in Abbeville, LA with an organization called Family Missions Company. For information about Family Missions Company please go to their website.
Each year the high school youth of our parish community travel to help those in need. The goal of the trip is to reach out to people less fortunate and try to help them where they need it most. LIFETEEN Ministries works with the people and serve the poor in whatever manner they need. They’ve built homes and fed people, providing goods for them and sharing their gifts with them. It is a time for them to be brothers and sisters in community to help each other.
The teens and adults who will chaperone, spend months fundraising for this trip. The fundraising work will include serving Parish Family breakfasts on Sunday morning at St. Ambrose, a banquet dinner, a silent Auction, and coupon promotions and many more. It will take many hours of time to make this trip happen but they are committed and willing to work hard for the people in need.
Would you please help them? Would you consider donating to the trip to help them help the poor? They could use any financial help you can give to help pay for this trip. All the money they raise is going to help the poor. It would be a huge blessing to them if you could support this mission trip.
You can make a donation right now in any amount, to support the works of these teens who will be serving. All donations are tax deductible and donation acknowledgement letters are given upon request.
Another way you can support the Mission Trip and journey with us, is in prayer.
